Gardens & Villa is an American indie rock band from Santa Barbara, California, formed in 2010. The band consists of founding members Chris Lynch, Adam Rasmussen, Shane McKillop, Levi Hayden and, the newest addition, Dustin Ineman.
History
2010
The band worked with producer Richard Swift in 2010 to create several songs including "Black Hills" and "Orange Blossom."
2011
Gardens & Villa was signed to indie record label Secretly Canadian in 2011 after being brought to the label's attention by Swift. The group spend much of 2011 touring, recording, and releasing music videos, including a video for "Black Hills" and "Star Fire Power." The band's successes didn't stop there: then released their debut album, Gardens & Villa, in July 2011.
2012
In 2012, Gardens & Villa played Coachella amongst several other festival dates with bands such as The Shins and Fanfarlo. They also spent much of the year in Portland, Oregon recording a new EP with Richard Swift.
2013
Between rapid touring and recording, the band had a busy 2013. In November, they announced the release of their second album, "Dunes," on Secretly Canadian in February 2014. The group also announced as well as a plethora of 2014 tour dates.[2]
