Larkin Poe

Larkin Poe is a folk rock band fronted by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell. It was formed after the disbandment of bluegrass trio The Lovell Sisters.

Band history

Rebecca and Megan formed the Lovell Sisters with their older sister Jessica in 2004. In December 2009, The Lovell Sisters announced that Jessica's wedding engagement and plans to begin college the following year marked the group's disbandment[1]. Rebecca and Megan regrouped as Larkin Poe in January 2010[2]. Larkin Poe was the name of their great-great-great-grandfather[3], Edgar Allan Poe's cousin.

The release of four extended plays in 2010, one for each season, led to extensive touring across the United States and Europe. In November 2011, Larkin Poe acted as the touring band for Elvis Costello[4].

In April 2012, Larkin Poe released their fifth EP Thick as Thieves[5].
